Reporting communicable diseases, either suspected or confirmed, can limit the spread and protect the public's good health. Health care providers, lab workers and hospital administrators are required to report suspected and confirmed communicable diseases and conditions to their local health district or to the state Office of Epidemiology within three working days of identification.
