Birth Control
Panhandle Health District provides a limited supply and variety of birth control for the public. A federal Pregnancy Prevention Grant enables PHD to help women on tight budgets with birth control. Charges are adjusted to fit income levels. PHD will bill insurance for its services.
A visit to PHD for birth control includes:
- a clinical breast exam
- Pap smear unless the client has had a pap smear within the past year
- information on the different types of birth control available
