In Her Own Words
"I see public health as a vehicle to support the goals of a healthy nation and achieve a longer "healthspan" for Americans. Healthspan is the term for a long, high-quality life lived by healthy people. Our goal at PHD is to leave nobody behind in our quest for a long, healthy healthspan.
"That's why our programs support the good choices you make every day, for instance choosing a tobacco-free lifestyle over tobacco addiction, regular and frequent exercise and fitness over couch potato inactivity, good nutrition over junk food.
"If we can give you the tools and information to plot a course for a long healthy life, we've done our job."
