Physical Therapy Services Now Available

St. Maries – Panhandle Health District (PHD) has expanded its home health services in Benewah County to include physical therapy.

Physical therapists are now available to work with homebound patients twice each week to help improve movement and reduce pain. Treatments include stretching, strengthening, coordination, balance and techniques to ease movement.

               Panhandle Home Health also provides doctor-ordered skilled nursing care for patients who are confined to their homes.  PHD’s home health services assist physicians by educating patients and encouraging compliance with their treatment plans so patients become more independent and improve their outcomes.
