Payment Options

Panhandle Home Health accepts payment for services from Medicare, Medicaid, VA, most private insurers and private pay.

Insurers not in our network often authorize coverage of our Home Health services when Panhandle Home Health is the only available provider.

Panhandle Home Health bills Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance for services on your behalf. We accept Medicare-assigned payment as payment in full for the services we provide as long as you meet the qualifying requirements and the services are covered by the Medicare program.

Services Not Covered

If your doctor orders services not covered by Medicare or Medicaid, Panhandle Home Health will make every effort to notify you before these services are provided so you can make other financial arrangements for the necessary care.

Insurance Changes

Panhandle Home Health adjusts to insurance changes as long as we're notified.

Benefit Knowledge

Panhandle Home Health researches your health insurance coverage as soon as you are referred to us. Our insurance specialist will learn how much of your home health costs are covered by insurance and how much your co-pay is. That information is worked into a benefit sheet that you'll receive at your first home visit with us and will clarify for you your financial obligation.

How to Help

Some health insurance requires co-payments or covers only a fraction of the costs of home health services, leaving patients with financial obligations they can't handle. Grants and gifts to help Home Health patients go into a special fund with Project Health, the Panhandle Public Health Foundation, a 501C-3 organization that raises money for public health projects and needs in the five northern counties of Idaho. Mail gifts and grant offerings, noting they're for Home Health, to:

                           Project Health

                           P.O. Box 5232

                           Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814
