Small Projects

Small projects are defined as those that involve less than one cubic yard of disturbed soil. Examples include landscaping, gardening, fencing, etc.

Is a Panhandle Health District (PHD) permit required?

No. However, should the homeowner wish, the work will be inspected and recorded in the database maintained to assist with land transactions. The owner will be provided with a Record of Compliance (ROC) permit.

ICP provides education:

ICP provides information on contaminants of concern and how to avoid exposure. ICP assists during barrier replacement selection or installation.

Clean Soils:

PHD will provide clean soil and gravel to site residents for small projects involving the removal of less than one cubic yard of material.

Soil Collection and Disposal:

PHD will provide containers and collect contaminated soil for disposal or will arrange homeowner access to the disposal site.
