Updated List of PHD Flu Shot Clinics in 5 Northern Counties


 

COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho - Panhandle Health District will hold the following flu shot clinics:

Kootenai County
Nov. 4 - Flu shots for the general public will be available from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church at 1470 Hanley Ave., across Ramsey Road from Lake City High School. Cost is $20 and is covered by Medicare Part B or Medicaid.

Nov. 7 - Flu shots for the general public will be available from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, in Post Falls. Cost is $20 and is covered by Medicare Part B or Medicaid.

November 18 - walk-in all day at the PHD office, 2195 Ironwood Court, Coeur d'Alene

November 25 - walk-in all day at the PHD office, 2195 Ironwood Court, Coeur d'Alene

Bonner County
November 4 - 9 a.m.-2p.m. at the Bonner Mall. Flu shots for children will be given at the health district office by appointment only. Please call 263-5159 for an appointment.

Boundary County
Call 267-5558 for information.

Benewah County
November 2 - 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m., St. Maries Meal Site

November 3 - 1-3 p.m., Fernwood Senior Center

November 9 - 9-11:30 a.m., Harrison Grange

November 9 - 5-7 p.m., Medimont Grange

November 16 - 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Worley Meal Site

Shoshone County
November 8 - 9 a.m.-noon at the Avista Building in Kellogg.

November 10 - 9 a.m.-noon at the Prichard Fire Hall.

November 15 - 9 a.m.-noon at the Pinehurst School.

November 15 - 1-3 p.m. at the Wallace Senior Center.

November 17 - 9 a.m.-noon at the Osburn Senior Center.

November 17 - 1-3 p.m. at the Mullan Senior Center.

Please check back often for additional information by calling 415-5299. As of October 18, the flu vaccine supply is expected to be adequate to provide flu shots for anyone who wants one. Those wanting flu shots can also check with their primary care provider or with pharmacies in the community for the availability of flu shots.    

The season for flu, also called influenza, generally runs November through March. Although getting a flu shot may not prevent someone from catching the flu, it could lessen the severity of the illness.
