January 24, 2006 PHD Division Director Named to Idaho Dietetic Licensure Board

COEUR d'ALENE - Tanya Chesnut, director of Panhandle Health District's Health Promotion Division, recently was appointed to the Idaho Dietetic Licensure Board. Ms. Chesnut has been the director of PHD's Health Promotion Division since 2001. She supervises the WIC program and related nutrition contracts; all population-based health education programs, such as tobacco prevention, injury prevention, asthma, diabetes, oral health, adolescent pregnancy prevention; and all child care programs, such as child care inspections, child care investigations, and the Child Care Resource Center. She has worked at the health district since 1978. Her term on the Dietetic Licensure Board runs through 2009. The Dietetic Licensure Board governs the issuance of licenses to professional dieticians as in Idaho. Ms. Chesnut was appointed to the four-member board by the Idaho State Board of Medicine. |
