March 29, 2007 Panhandle Health District teaches the perils of pandemic

Coeur d’Alene—The Panhandle Health District will offer three pandemic flu forums for the public during National Public Health Week, April 2-8. PHD epidemiologist Jeff Lee and Public Health Preparedness specialist Doug Welch will explain in their visual presentation the history of pandemics, what causes them and how to prepare. After the presentation, they’ll take questions from the audience. The National Public Health Week free flu forums are Monday, April 2, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft in Coeur d’Alene and Tuesday, April 3, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the main floor of the Panhandle Health District headquarters, 8500 N. Atlas Rd. in Hayden. A flu forum on Friday, April 6, at noon for the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club will cost the price of lunch. Rotary meets at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. |
