WIC Services

 

 

The Panhandle Health District's Women, Infants and Children program is an educational service designed to help women, infants and children with their nutrition needs.
Students from Holy Family School in Coeur d'Alene fill bags with dried beans for the WIC program.

 

Foods provided by the WIC program:

  • For infants (under 12 months)
    • Infant cereal
    • Infant juice
    • Infant iron-fortified cereal
  • For women and children ages 1 to 5
    • Milk
    • Cheese
    • Iron-fortified cereal
    • Fruit juice high in Vitamin C
    • Eggs
    • Dried beans or peanut butter
