WIC Eligibility

 

Who is Eligible?

  • Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding for up to 12 months after delivery or have had a baby in the last six months.
  • Infants from birth to 1 year.
  • Children who are 1 to 5 years old.

 

To be eligible for the Panhandle Health District's WIC program, you must:

  • Live in Idaho.
  • Meet income guidelines. These are based on gross monthly income equal to or less than these guidelines.
  • Have a health or nutrition concern. Some simple tests are done at the WIC clinic to evaluate your nutritional needs:
    • Measuring your height and weight
    • A finger prick for blood to test for iron
    • A diet evaluation
    • A brief health history
