WIC Eligibility
Who is Eligible?
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding for up to 12 months after delivery or have had a baby in the last six months.
- Infants from birth to 1 year.
- Children who are 1 to 5 years old.
To be eligible for the Panhandle Health District's WIC program, you must:
- Live in Idaho.
- Meet income guidelines. These are based on gross monthly income equal to or less than these guidelines.
- Have a health or nutrition concern. Some simple tests are done at the WIC clinic to evaluate your nutritional needs:
- Measuring your height and weight
- A finger prick for blood to test for iron
- A diet evaluation
- A brief health history
